Abstract

An element for spacing and fixing electronic components comprises a plug member 6 and a socket 7 formed by limbs 8, there being one or more through apertures 17, 20. Thus several elements may be stacked on top of one another. The sides of the element may be provided with engagement means (4, 5, 4', 5' Fig. 1 not shown) so that the elements may be interconnected to form arrays extending in one, two or three dimensions. Slots 17 are for clamping electrical conductors and open out into front and back tapered channels 18, 19. The element may be used to mount a light-emitting diode on a printed circuit board. <IMAGE>
