Abstract

In hospitals the bed frames and tables allocated to the individual hospital beds are usually cleaned in a central washing plant. Therefore, in order to save personnel, it is required to be able to allow a bed frame together with the allocated table to be brought into the washing plant by a single individual. For this purpose, a hospital bed having a bedspring frame which is adjustable in height and is preferably inclinable is designed such that the table can be picked up in a simple manner by a carrying member without the attachment of this carrying member and the creation of an empty space for accommodation of the table impairing the stability of the bedspring frame or hindering the work of the nursing staff.
