Abstract

By means of the invention it is made possible by remote control to adjust the rear-view mirror to occupy one or the other of two end positions for the switch-over of the mirror between a light and a dark position, while the possibility of a stepless setting is maintained. The arrangement comprises an operating unit (23), preferably functioning by means of a hydraulic liquid, for the setting of the mirror, which operating unit (23) can be manually controlled at a distance from the holder (1) of the mirror, and exhibits an operating device (26, 33), that makes possible a stepless setting of the holder (1) and a dimmingable mirror supported by the same, a regulating device (38) co-operating with said operating unit (26, 33) being provided, which, when activated, sets the mirror in its desired dimmingable end position, while a continued stepless setting of the holder (1) and the mirror is maintained.
