Abstract

A conveyor has upper and lower tracks formed by pairs of longitudinal flanges (12) lying side by side. Members (13) are interconnected in series to form an endless element and are arranged to travel along the tracks. The upper and lower surfaces and the free edge of each flange (12) have a layer of plastics (17) which is shock absorbing and has a low coefficient of friction, the members (13) only contacting the tracks at the layers of plastics (17). <IMAGE>
