Abstract

Inside one arm of an L-shaped casing is an electric motor (34) which transmits drive via a belt and pulley transmission to a worm and worm wheel transmission accommodated in the second arm: from the arms power take-offs (2, 5) protrude outside to a working space, the driving shafts being perpendicular to each other. The driving device may be used either as a free-standing one, or built into an item of kitchen furniture in which case it can pivot about supporting pins (10) connected to the top of the item of kitchen furniture, and either available to be used or swung into a recess, held in both positions by means of a friction link mechanisms. <IMAGE>
