Abstract

This device for blowing hot blast into shaft furnaces (2) has an annular distributor line (10), a number of blast tuyeres (8) mounted on the furnace wall (4), as well as blast connections (12) for connecting the individual blast tuyeres (8) to a connection (14) provided on the distributor line (10). In order, in spite of a flexible connection which is necessary as a result of the thermal deformations, to obtain only a small blast temperature drop between the distributor line (10) and the blast tuyere (8), the blast connections (12) consist of a rigid angled part. This part is connected rigidly with its one end to the blast tuyere (8) and with its other end to the connection (14) of the distributor line (10). The connection (14) is in turn fastened on the distributor line (10) by means of a flexible and sealed metal sheet (28). <IMAGE>
