Abstract
Arrangement according to the invention for analysis of the quantity and size of particles in liquids consists of a flow chamber 1 belonging to an analyser, a lighting element 4 arranged outside the chamber just opposite a window 5 transparent to the light flux and arranged in the chamber wall, wherein the lighting element is designed to direct a convergent light beam 6 through the window into the chamber 1, and a light-sensitive element 7 designed to receive light which is reflected from particles present in the liquid being investigated, and arranged outside the chamber 1 just opposite a second window 9, arranged in the chamber's wall and transparent to the reflected light. The second window 9 has the shape of a cylinder whose axis coincides with the optical axis of the lighting element 4, and the cylinder wall functions as the chamber wall. The optical system of the lighting element is such that the point of intersection 10 of the optical axes at the lighting element 4 and the light-sensitive element 7 lies behind the focus of the lighting element in the direction of the light flux. The spatial angle α for the convergent light beam lies in the interval <IMAGE> where n1 is the index of refraction for the liquid being investigated. <IMAGE>
