Abstract

The invention relates to a sprung and vibration-damped driver's seat for, in particular, cross-country working machines. Spring suspension and shock-absorption members 18, 32 are disposed in a chassis 2 which can be compressed by spring action. The vibration-damping members are disposed in a base 1 between the chassis and a levelling and rotation member 8. The seat surface can be displaced relative to the chassis, which, in turn, can be displaced relative to the base. The spring members 18 are pneumatic and the springing can be adjusted to the weight of the person sitting in the seat. The seat has also additionally been configured on the basis of the ergonomic requirements applicable to cross-country working machines and offers great scope for adjusting the seat according to the body size of the driver and to the activity to be pursued. <IMAGE>
