1536972 Curing ethylene polymers UNION CARBIDE CORP 26 Nov 1975 [27 Nov 1974] 28079/78 Divided out of 1535040 Heading C3P A scorch resistant vulcanizable composition comprises 100 parts by weight of an ethylene polymer, 0À1 to 5À0 parts of bis(tertiary-butylperoxy-isopropyl)benzene and/or 2,5-dimethyl- 2,5-di-tertiary butyl peroxy hexane and from 1À0 to 2À0 parts of cumene hydroperoxide as the sole hydroperoxide present, wherein the composition is devoid of any peroxy silane. Examples are given in which the ethylene polymer is polyethylene.
