Abstract

Novel 1-amidoaryloxy-3-amidoalkylamino-2-propanol derivatives of the formula: <IMAGE> wherein the symbols have the meanings given in the Patent Claim, for example 1-o-(N-ss-hydroxyethylcarbamoylmethoxy)-phenoxy-3-ssisobutyramidoethylamino-2-propanol, are prepared by reacting an appropriate 2,3-epoxy-1-phenoxypropane or a 3-halogeno-1-phenoxy-2-propanol with an amine HNR<6>-A-NR<7>-XYR<1>. The compounds exert a blocking action on the adrenergic ss-receptors and can be used for the treatment of cardiac disorders.
