Abstract

A sling 100, 200, 300 for supporting a patient is provided. The sling comprising a leg support portion 10, 30 adapted to support the thighs of the patient, a torso support portion 20, 40 adapted to support the torso of the patient, and wherein the leg support portion 10, 30 comprises a first and a second leg support member 11a, 11b, 31a, 31b each adapted to wrap around the thigh of the patient, respectively. The sling 100, 200, 300 comprising a first and second back suspension strap 21a, 21b adapted for arrangement to a patient hoist, wherein, during use, the first and second suspension strap 21a, 21b is arranged to extend along the back side of the patient. The first back suspension strap 21a, via the torso support portion 20, 40, is arranged to the first leg support portion 11a, 31a and the second suspension strap 21b, via the torso support portion 20, 40, is arranged to the second leg support portion 11b, 31b.
