Description

In many neighbourhoods household waste is placed in garbage bins so that thewaste can be collected regularly by a garbage truck. To facilitate the collectionof the waste the garbage bins should be placed in a specific location on aroadside or sidewalk when the garbage truck collects the waste. Especially forelderly people, it can be an arduous task to pull or push a garbage bin full ofwaste from its normal position close to the house to the required position onthe roadside or sidewalk.
The garbage bins must be of a type specified by the local authorities and/or thelocal waste collection company. This means that all garbage bins used by theresidents in a neighbourhood normally have the same design and dimensions. This also means that the number of wheels, the position of the wheels and thediameter of the wheels of the garbage bins in the neighbourhood are normallypredetermined. A common number of wheels on garbage bins is two.
However, a problem with several of the existing types of garbage bins with twowheels is that they are not particularly stable when standing up, which meansthat even a small gust of wind can cause them to topple over, leaving wastestrewn across the area, which creates a risk that birds and scavengers startfeeding on the waste.
Furthermore, in case of heavy winds, the unstable garbage bins can be blownout onto the adjacent road or street and cause serious obstacles to trafficleading to a serious risk of accidents.
Various solutions to solve these problems have already been proposed andimplemented. However, some of the prior art devices and systems for lockinggarbage bins in position have an unnecessarily complicated design which makesthem difficult to manufacture, install and use. In addition, most of the prior artdevices and systems have proven incapable of preventing garbage bins frombeing toppled over by heavy winds.

11. The system according to claim 10, characterized in that each holding device (10OA, 100B) further comprises atleast one opening (107A, 107B) formed between a bottom surface (108A) ofsaid holding structure (102A) and a top surface (109A) of said base structure(101A), wherein said at least one opening (107A, 107B) is adapted forreceiving therethrough said connecting element, which preferably has the formof an elongated connecting member (1111s1N).
12. The system according to claim 10 or 11, characterized in that each base structure (101A, 101B) of said holding devicesis provided with at least one hole (110A, 110B) adapted for anchoring elementsconfigured to serve as lateral guides for said wheels, when said wheels areplaced in said recesses, and that said system further comprises such elementsconfigured to serve as lateral guides (113) which are anchored in said holes(110A, 110B).
13. The system according to any one of claims 10-12, characterized in that the system further comprises at least one strapping band(1141ooA-1ooß), which is attached to each pair of interconnected holding devices(10OA, 100B) to secure each garbage bin (BIN) to the ground via said holdingdevices (10OA, 100B).
14.
