Description

Title: Paint roller tray Field of the invention The present invention relates to the field of painting and tools for painting. The present invention more especially relates to paint roller trays that is used together with or in combination with a paint roller to apply paint to the paint roller and to roll off paint from the paint roller.
Background of the invention A paint roller tray is used when painting with a paint roller and the paint roller tray comprise a container and a roll off area. The painter pours paint from a paint bucket into the container. The painter thereafter dip the paint roller in the paint in the container and roll it against the roll off area. The roll off area is used to get an evenly spread of the paint in the paint roller and that paint should not drip from the paint roller as it is moved from the paint roller tray to the surface that should be painted. Some painters dip the roller directly into the paint bucket and use the roll off area of the paint roller tray to roll off excess paint from the paint roller, which implies many heavy lifts of the heavy paint bucket. When moving the paint roller tray, the painter often grabs a corner of the paint roller tray and lifts it and there is a risk of that paint is spilled. The paint is often spilled due to quick movements of the paint roller tray or that the paint roller tray bends by the weight of the paint as it is moved. Another reason for spillage is that the paint roller tray is moved when the painter press the paint roller against the roll off are. There is thus a need for a paint roller tray that is easy to move and that reduces the risk of paint being spilled. There is also a need for a paint roller tray that can take a larger amount of paint, without increasing the risk of spillage or the complexity of moving the paint roller tray.
Summary of the invention An object of the present invention is to provide a paint roller tray, which seek to mitigate, alleviate, or eliminate one or more of the above-identified deficiencies in the art and disadvantages singly or in any combination.
