Claims (17)
1. En metod för att generera en raffinerad sockerström som innehåller xylos frånhydrolyslösning från biomassa, som innehåller stegen: (i) bringa en hydrolyslösning från biomassa som innehåller blandade sockerdäribland xylos, en syra samt föroreningar, i kontakt med ett termiskt fasseparerbartlösningsmedel som är en etylenglykol eller en propylenglykol eter eller en kombinationdärav, för att bilda en extraktionsblandning; och (ii) från nämnda extraktionsblandning separera en första ström som innehåller dettermiskt fasseparerbara lösningsmedlet, syra samt föroreningar och en andra, raffinerad sockerström som innehåller xylos,
2. Metod enligt patentkrav 1 som vidare innehåller steget att bringa en ström från nämndahydrolyslösning från biomassa, som innehåller blandade socker däribland xylos, i kontakt med en starkt sur katjonbytesharts, företrädesvis före steg (i).
3. Metod enligt patentkrav 1 eller 2 som vidare innehåller steget att bringa en ström frånnämnda hydrolyslösning från biomassa som innehåller nämnda blandade socker däribland xylos,i kontakt med en svagt basisk anjonbytesharts, företrädesvis efter att strömmen kontaktats med en starkt sur katjonbytesharts och före steg (i).
4. Metod enligt något av patentkraven 1-3, som vidare innehåller steget att värma nämnda extraktionsblandning till en temperatur av 30-l00°C.
5. Metod enligt något av patentkraven 1-4, som vidare omfattar steget att separera dennämnda andra, raffrnerade sockerströmmen som innehåller xylos, med SSMB eller SMB kromatografi.
6. Metod enligt något av patentkraven 1-5, där det termiskt fasseparerbara lösningsmedlet är 2-butoxyetanol.
7. Metod enligt något av patentkraven 1-5, där det termiskt fasseparerbara lösningsmedlet är 1-propoxy-2-propanol.
8. Metod enligt något av patentkraven 1-7, där syran är svavelsyra.
9. Metod enligt något av patentkraven 1-7, där syran är saltsyra.
10. Metod enligt något av patentkraven 1-9, där det inte har tillsatts exogen syra.
11. 1 1. Metod enligt något av patentkraven 1-10, som vidare omfattar att isolera, evaporera, rena eller koncentrera xylos från den raffinerade sockerströmmen som innehåller xylos.
12. Metod enligt patentkrav 1 1, där nämnda xylos har en renhet på 80%-96%.
13. Extraktionsblandning som innehåller:en hydrolyslösning från biomassa som innehåller blandade socker däribland xylos,en syra samt föroreningar; ochett termiskt fasseparerbart lösningsmedel som innehåller etylenglykol eller en propylenglykol eter eller en kombination därav.
14. Extraktionsblandning enligt patentkrav 13, som vidare innehåller en alkanol.
15. Extraktionsblandning enligt patentkrav 13, där alkanolen är hexanol.
16. Extraktionsblandning enligt något av patentkraven 13-14, där extraktionsblandningen innehåller en 2-butoxyetanol.
17. Extraktionsblandning enligt något av patentkraven 13-15, där extraktionsblandningen innehåller en 1-propoxy-2-propanol.
