Abstract

Trouser garment comprising an item of clothing that encloses the wearer's pelvis and has an opening (2) for the waist and at least one leg hole (3, 3'). A dividing line (9, 9') extends all the way between the waist opening and leg holes to separate one of two side pieces (7, 7') from a front or back piece (5). A hook and loop fastener band (11, 11') joined to an inside edge (10, 10') of the front piece is secured at one end to a special felt strip on the outside of the side piece edge section overlapped by the front piece. The other end of the band is used to release the front piece from the side piece. At least one strap (13) joined to the waist opening sticks out from one side piece and can be fastened to the other side piece in order to secure the garment around the pelvis irrespective of whether the band is secured to the felt strip or not. The felt strip width is greater than that of the hook and loop fastener band in order for the size of the waist opening and leg holes to be adjusted.
