Abstract

The invention relates to a method of joining together by shape-establishing connection at least two elements (1a, 1b) of fibre-filled plastic, for example recycled plastic filled with recycled fibres, arranged at an interval (a) from one another and formed with channels (2), by means of a setting material to form a building block. The channels have closed sections. In connection with this, apertures (4) opening into at least one of the channels (2) are incorporated into essentially plane sides of the elements (1a, 1b) facing one another at preferably equidistant intervals along the elements (1a, 1b). A closed space defined by the sides of the elements facing one another is formed between the elements (1a, 1b). The setting material is introduced into said space so that it flows into the apertures (4) and where the latter open into the channels (4) forms parts (5) having a larger cross section than the apertures (4). Such a building block comprising at least two elements (1a, 1b), preferably of reinforced plastic, formed with channels (2) and arranged at an interval (a) from one another and with the insides facing one another. Between the elements (1a, 1b) is a material (3) which can be made to set, which bridges the said interval (a) between the elements (1a, 1b) and produces a shape-establishing connection between the two elements. The shape-establishing connection comprises apertures (4) which emerge from essentially plane sides of the elements facing one another and open into a channel (2) with closed section in each element. The setting material, where the apertures (4) open into the channels (2), forms parts (5) having a larger cross section than the apertures (4).

Description

506 505 10 15 20 25 30 35 2 and that the hardening material at the mouths of the openings in the channels forms portions with a larger cross section than the openings have.

As can be seen from a special feature of the invention, the longitudinal directions of the elements form an angle with each other, in the special case approximately a right angle, a particularly torsionally rigid and aesthetically pleasing building block is provided.

When the building blocks are used as, for example, facade or wall material, the hardening material which appears from another arm is a special feature of the invention, a thermo-insulating material, it being particularly noted that the building block lacks cold bridges.

According to a further special feature of the invention, the hardening material is a sound-insulating material, which is particularly teachable when the building blocks according to the invention are used as material for noise barriers and the like. Of course, in many applications there is a need for both thermal and acoustic attenuation and this need can be easily satisfied by the appropriate choice of hardening material.

The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which fi g 1 in a cross-section illustrates an embodiment of a building block manufactured according to the method according to the invention. Fig. 2 shows a building block in which the longitudinal directions of the elements form a right angle and fi g 3 shows a noise screen intended to be placed directly on the ground and manufactured according to the method according to the invention.

In Fig. 1, 1a denotes a number of elements arranged next to each other in a plane and 1b a corresponding number of elements arranged next to each other in another plane, which is substantially parallel to the first-mentioned plane and lies at a distance a from it.

(Dylika element tillhandahålles i handeln under varumärket POLYPLANK). The elements 1a, 1b are made of reinforced recycled plastic in the form of chipboard and provided with longitudinal channels 2. (Such elements are commercially available under the POLYPLANK brand). The space between the elements 1a and 1b is filled with a heat-insulating material 3 such that this provides a form-related expansion between the elements, so that a building block is thereby obtained.

The shape-related expansion between the elements 1a, 1b comprises openings 4 emanating from the inside of the respective elements and opening into a channel 2. In each of these the material 3 has penetrated into the channels and partly filled them in an area around the openings 4. The material 3 in the respective channel 2 has the same function as a skull on, for example, a rivet and will henceforth be referred to as skull 5. The skull 5 contributes to holding the elements 1a, 1b together. It should be noted that there are no cold bridges between these. Through compulsory choice of material 3, the building block can thus be given sound and temperature insulating properties.

In the manufacture of such a building block, the elements 1a, 1b are preferably placed in a jig, which can also be part of a building under construction. Prior to this, from the sides of the elements which are intended to face each other, the openings 4 opening in the channels 2 have been accommodated. The distance a between the elements 1a, 1b is bridged in a doctrinal manner, so that a closed space is provided between the elements, to which the material 3 is supplied in fl surface form. The closed space is pressurized or alternatively the channels in which the openings 4 open are pressurized so that the surface but hardening material penetrates through the openings 4 and in the channels forms the skulls 5.

The longitudinal directions of the elements 1a, 1b can of course, for aesthetic or other reasons, form an angle with each other. In ñg 2, said angle is right, but for example for noise planks it can be attractive to alternately have sections with parallel elements and elements, which form 45 ° and right angles to each other.

Fig. 3 shows a section of a building block intended as a noise screen intended to be placed directly on the ground. The elements 1a, 1b here do not lie in mutually parallel planes, but these form an angle with each other so that the building block is wedge-shaped. In order to obtain a low center of gravity suitable for the building block's use as a noise screen, used car tires 6 have been placed in the material at the base of the block, while return boxes and plastic cans have been placed higher up. At the same time, an environmental problem is solved, namely the use of these waste components.
