Abstract

The fitting (41) forms at least partly a passage from one door side to the other door side (45, 46). A flexible, resiliently returning tounge (50) is arranged in the passage and comprises a shoulder (49) for locking engagement with a journalled insert of a jamb mounted hinge insertable into the passage from either door side. Thefitting has an outer contour, for instance width and length, equal to the outer contour of a crosswise extending groove or recess in a long edge side (42) of a door blade and open at each door side. It is arranged for fixing the fitting in the proper position in the edge side of the door.

In one embodiment the fastening part is anchored at the bottom of the recess. The arrangement is preferably such that the recess at said level, at a small depth from the seam, serves as a support surface for the cover plate and / or for the fastening part, a complementary part of the hinge part or the locking part.

The said additional part comprises a hinge device for the hinge part or an end plate.

The number 10 in Pig. l indicates a frame long side of a door frame seen from the side where the rebate ll is arranged. In this rebate, a total of three recesses 12 (only one is shown) are formed symmetrically relative to the center point normal to the frame long sides or frame lengths. The recess 12 has in principle two levels, a bottom level l2a and an upper depth level l2b formed at a small depth from the seam. The depth of the recess 12 is such that a drop piston is received, and the extent of the recess 12 to the right in Fig. 1 is such that correct placement of an end plate becomes possible. The extent of the recess to the left is suitably maximized, i.e. the recess is designed as close to the fold corner as possible, to strengthen the attachment of the frame to a doorway, but also to provide a strong and durable attachment of hinge details.

In the frame fold side, there is a through hole 13 intended for 5 460 548 a fastening screw, which partly fixes the frame in place in a door opening, and partly is intended to stably and durable anchor a hinge part.

In Pig. 3, an end plate 20 is placed in the recess, and one has there, as was the case in Pig. S ensure that the upper level 12b of the recess is completely covered by a support part 21, which rests against the upper depth level plane 12b. Even in the case that there is neither a hinge detail nor an end plate detail in the recess 12, it is ensured that the recess is made completely covered by a cover plate 22 (Fig. 4). The embodiment according to Pig. 7-12 differs from the one in Pig. l-6 only by designing the contours hcs of the two main levels of the milling cutter l2a, l2b slightly differently.

In addition, the end plate 20 is of a stronger type.

The millings in Pig. 13-18 also show an example of milling technique, in which a slightly different geometry exists.

In addition to the fastening hole 13, in all embodiments there are a pair of further holes 23 for fixing the hinge part 14.

In Pig. 19-24 shows another possibility for milling in the frame seam side. The hinge part 14 shown here is intended for a folded door of the type shown 4en 543 6 in Pig. 43, however, with a different knob placement. The cover plate 27, is actually two different washers 27, 27a has here the type of a more marked angular profile than the previous washers.

The arrangement in Figs. 25-30 differs only in that the end plate part is somewhat reinforced.

In Figs. 31-36, a stronger attachment of the frame has been achieved by placing the opening 13 outside the milling itself 12.

In Fig. 37-42 you have a more pronounced circular geometry, but otherwise the conditions are basically the same.

In all examples, the hinge part or the locking part is made in recess-shaped units, i.e. the dimensioning of the fastening parts and the support parts thereof, respectively, possibly in combination with a cover plate, fills the recess in the frame and gives an overall appearance which in principle corresponds to "tailor-made" fittings.

The disassembly of the cover plates overlying "empty" recesses, which when not in use are covered by a full cover plate, does not pose a problem.

Finally, for the sake of completeness, another example of a forged door in Pig has been shown. 44, where the knob part of the threaded iron part is placed on the higher level in the recess.

Fig. 45, shows only an example of a cover plate 24 with a rebate edge 25 intended to hide cracks and breaks in the edge of the recess, respectively.
