Description
10 15 20 25 30 35 450 798 e 2 create such a compact adapter that this plus the fluorescent lamp does not becomes larger than they can fit together in that space reserved for the light bulb in standard luminaires. This objects and further objects and advantages of the invention appears from the following description. They are achieved through the features defined in the claims.
Uppfinningen skall nu närmare beskrivas under hänvisning till bifogad ritning, på vilken: Fig.The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to attached drawing, in which: FIG.

Adaptern 11 enligt fig. Såsom visas i fig. The adapter 11 according to Fig. 1 is built up of a coupling housing 12, a 1 9 is a side view partly in section of an adapter according to 'the invention. and 3 shows the lower part of other adapters, which are used fitted to two additional forms of standard sockets. is a perspective view of an adapter with a connected pact fluorescent lamps. is a cross section through the components of the adapter according to Fig. 1. and 7 are plan views of the parts of Fig. 5, seen after pillars 6-6 resp. 7-7. is a plan view of a circuit board included in the adapter according to Fig. 1. is a side view of a lamp shade adapted to the adapter according to the invention. ' holder part 13 for the fluorescent lamp base 14 and a light bulb base 15 of standard form. The adapter also contains the housed ones electrical ignition and drive circuits 16 required for the fluorescent lamp normal function. These circuits 16 can be built on varying ways but common to these is the need for one mf ' 10 15 20 25 30 35 450 0798 several components, some of which are so bulky that they become difficult to place. Some parts, such as transistors, can in addition, be so heat sensitive that they should not be placed directly in the vicinity of the fluorescent lamp 17. As an example of the components that must be housed in a complete ignition and drive circuit can mention a choke, several capacitors, two pieces of transistors, a plurality of resistors, and a transformer mator. According to the present invention, these components are connected to each other via an annular circuit board 18, which is mounted in the lower part of the coupling housing 12. The circuit the card 18 divides the interior of the connector housing 12 into one first space 19 located above the circuit board and a second space 20 located below this. The first space 19 is also limited by the holder part 13, which has a central recess 21, in which the base 14 of the fluorescent lamp is intended to be inserted and a concavely mirrored lid 22, which forms the top of the adapter. The second space 20 is limited downwards by the bulb socket 15 but as shown in Fig. 1 can also some components are contained therein, preferably some major condensate and the heat-sensitive transistors. A frequency converter for transmitting the mains frequency to a high frequency of approx. 30,000 Hz is built into the drive circuit, which means that i.a. the choke can made significantly smaller and lighter than normal and can be included as part of the circuit board. In addition, the use of high frequency that the energy losses will be lower, so that the light output can be increased by about 10%. IN As shown in Fig. 8, the circuit board 18 has a central recess. 23, which enables all components to be soldered to the circuit board from one and the same side, but that certain nents can be bent down through the recess 23 to become located in said second space 20. This is illustrated by the bent ones the connecting wires 24 to a capacitor 25. Hereby a very rational manufacture of the circuits is achieved 16 at the same time as these become very easy to mount in the adapter and in addition, the space in it is fully utilized. Mounting the time is most clearly shown in Fig. 5, which schematically shows how 10 15 20 25 30 0000 s 1 450 798 the components can be easily assembled together. The coupling housing 12 and the holder part 13 are molded of some suitable insulation the plastic material and the lid 22 on the holder part are also f ä as mentioned reflected in any suitably known manner. As shown in Fig. 9, the lid 22 can also be provided with fastening means 26 for a circulating leather or spherical lamp housing 27, so that a complete luminaire can be formed.
A lamp consisting of a compact fluorescent lamp 17 and an adapter 11 according to Fig. 4 becomes only slightly longer (2-3 cm) than an ordinary light bulb of standard shape. This means that this combination can be used in just about any existing luminaires. The adapter must of course be adapted to the different ones standard sockets available on the market. Examples of this are shown in Figs. 2 and 3, which show the adapter with a B22 and E14 socket.
I fig. Fig. 1 shows the standard E27 socket. When changing lamp only the fluorescent lamp part 17 needs to be replaced with another, while the adapter 11 can remain in its socket. This is a great one advantage i.a. in relation to the so-called The SL lights, which admittedly also has a light bulb base but which also has an ignition and drive the circuits are built into the lamp, which is why they capable parts must be discarded together with the fluorescent lamp, which does lamp type very expensive in continuous use.
Since these lamps are also significantly heavier than ordinary incandescent lamps and also have a larger diameter, they can not be used in all luminaires. A lighting unit consisting of an adapter according to the invention and a normal compact fluorescent lamp, for example Philips PL lamp, on the other hand, is slightly larger than a regular one light bulb and weighs only 5-6 times as much as this, which shall be compared with the mentioned 15-20 times for the SL lamps.
The invention is of course not limited to the embodiments shown. but can be varied in many ways within the framework of subsequent claims.
