Abstract

Sheet metal panel, preferably for a false ceiling in outer roof constructions, comprising a lower flange portion 4, two webs 3 which extend upwards from this flange portion and which at their upper ends each merge into an outwardly bent upper flange portion 2, the lower flange portion 4 being substantially wider than the upper flange portions. According to the invention, the lower flange portion 4 is provided with reinforcement elements 5 running transverse to the longitudinal direction of the sheet metal profile, and each of the upper flange portions 2 is further provided with at least one reinforcement element 13 running in the longitudinal direction of the sheet metal profile, and each of the webs 3 forms an angle to the lower flange portion 4, which angle exceeds 90 degrees. This means that the webs 3 are directed upwards and outwards from the lower flange portion 4, and that each of the webs 3 is provided with at least one angle piece 9 which runs in the longitudinal direction of the sheet metal profile and whose apex points from the lower flange portion 4 towards the upper flange portion 2. When the panel is mounted between two supporting beams 8, the apices of the angle pieces 9 are located on the side which faces towards the supporting beams 8 of plumblines from the outer parts 14 of the inner flanges 11 of the supporting beams.
