Abstract

Teletext receiver, comprising elements for deriving, from the information received, input codes for publication number, page number and time code, manually operated elements for setting of reference codes corresponding to the input codes, and a decoder responding to the input and reference codes to generate an acceptance signal which has the effect that the receiver accepts an incoming page as fair copy when each input code matches the corresponding reference code. The receiver contains a switch arrangement 20-22, which can be manoeuvred to make the decoder 10, 12, 14, 18, 19 nonselective for at least one digit in the input code for page number, so that the acceptance signal is generated without regard to the value of the digit or every digit in this input code. <IMAGE>
