Abstract

The invention relates to hose clamps consisting of a band 1 which is bent together into a ring which can be threaded onto a hose or similar, said ring being tightenable by means of a tightening device 3, 4 connecting the end parts 2 and 5, respectively, of the band, the effect of the subsiding of the hose material over time being compensated by means of a spring device in the hose clamps of the invention. A simple type of such spring device consists according to the invention of a bent tube 7 of a relatively thin, springy material, threaded onto at least part of the band 1. Said tube may have a flattened, preferably elliptical cross section and a longitudinal slit 8 along the outside of the band 1. <IMAGE>
