Abstract

A new set up of the printing process of packages for milk and other beverages including the control of the content of the print - the label.Today's set up in the industry requires a lead time of several weeks for changes of the design. This as the design is printed in specialized factories, and then shipped to the factories where the actual filling of products happens.Printing the design of the packages in direct conjunction with the filling process will allow short notice changes of the design. Suitable software to control the content (design programs) and direct transfer to the printing device would allow numerous possibilities f.ex. printing of "today's" special offer in a specific shop.
