Description
Uppfinnare: K. R. SiOblom. Inventor: K. R. SiOblom.
The present invention relates to a device for making soft, rotating discs, for example turbine discs, stiffer in the spirit of preventing the occurrence of dangerous oscillations, which by fatigue can cause material breakage. The invention can be mainly characterized by the fact that coaxially with the discs are on their sides ascending rings interchangeably fastened in grooves in the discs and at their inner surface on such salt by means of threads fixed to the disc, that its fastening part is thereby pressed radially outwards.
In the accompanying drawing, Fig. 1 shows an axial section through a turbine disc. Figs. 2 and 3 show a couple of examples ph how the ring can be attached.
Ringen 4 visas utat avsmalnande for att fa ringens tyngdpunkt narmare skivan. The turbine disc is denoted by 1. This carried vane rings 2 for radial flow of the propellant and a vane ring 3 for axial flow. At one side surface of the disc, a stiffening ring 4 is attached to the outer part, fixed in a groove 5 and dictated to the disc by means of a line of dictation 6. The ring 4 is shown tapering out to bring the center of gravity of the ring closer to the disc.
I fig. 2 visas, hur ringen 4 infores i sparet 5. Fig. 3 visar en modifierad infastning. Fig. 2 shows how the ring 4 is inserted into the groove 5. When the flange 7 has come into place in the spire 8, this layer is secured by the wire 6 being dictated to Hansen 9. Fig. 3 shows a modified fastening.
I fig. The fact that the ring according to the invention is interchangeable has several advantages. It is possible to test the most suitable width of the ring 4 in combination with vibration feeds, either by turning the ring width or by replacing the rings, which are in stock. In Fig. 1, the dashed lines 10 mark a turned away portion. You can use different materials in the disc and ring, which means that you have free hands to choose the best and most suitable material for the ring. Applying a separate ring to the board will be significantly cheaper to forge a flange from the board material.
In operation, due to the centrifugal force, the disc diameter increases more than the stiffening ring, due to the fact that the disc is more loaded (eg with axial flow vanes). By thickening the fastening part of the buttoned ring upwards by means of a line of dictation 6, this part is given a bias voltage through an increase, which then at normal speed, when the ring diameter has also grown, guarantees that the fastening grip is still reliable. If the intervention is not fixed, the ring does not withstand vibrations.
