Abstract

The centering method involves positioning the workpiece (2) on the rotating surface (1) and applying a support for the workpiece through a contact parts (6,7). The contact parts are gradually retracted away from the rotational center (O) of the rotating surface until the workpiece is centered and the center (A) of workpiece coincides with the rotational center of the rotating surface. The spaced apart contact part and rotationally driven wheel (8) are arranged so friction force results in force component acting on workpiece to move outward from center of rotating surface. An independent claim is also included for a pushing device.
