Abstract

An indoor optical fiber cable is provided to improve an installation length by reducing friction between the cable and a duct through an external jacket with a low friction coefficient. An indoor optical fiber cable includes two optical fibers(2), two intensity members(3), and an external jacket. The two optical fibers are surrounded with external coating materials(5) respectively. Two intensity members are directly in contact with the coating materials. The external jacket surrounds the optical fibers and the intensity members tightly. The optical fibers and the intensity members are elongated together. The optical fibers and the intensity members are positioned so that axes thereof in a longitudinal direction are not matched with a central axis of the indoor optical fiber cable.
