Abstract
The present invention relates to a system for the purification of asphalt gas from an asphalt surface that is being laid and/or shaped by a machine driven by an internal-combustion engine (11), the system comprising at least one suction nozzle (1), which is arranged adjacent to at least one area where the asphalt has such a temperature that it emits asphalt gas, the suction nozzle (1) communicating with at least one fan (5) via at least one suction duct, the fan (5) communicating with at least one catalytic converter (10) via at least one pressure duct (7, 8.2), and the internal-combustion engine (11 ) of the machine communicating with the catalytic converter (10) via at least one exhaust-gas duct (11.1). The exhaust-gas duct (11.1) communicates with at least one first catalytic-converter element (10.4) in the catalytic converter (10), and at least one first pressure duct (8.2) for asphalt gas of said at least one pressure duct (7, 8.2) communicates with at least one second catalytic-converter element (10.5), from which catalytic-converter elements (10.4, 10.5) purified gas is discharged via at least one outlet duct (9) to the surroundings. The present invention also relates to a method for the purification of asphalt gas.
