Abstract

A simple mechanical and electrical grounded security connector intended for both large and small power supplies and to be for example used to connect vehicles to an electrical distri bution network includes a first unit (A) and a second unit (B), which when they are in mechanical contact with one other cooperate for transferring electrical current. The first unit contains as to their shapes identical movable pins (1), the function of which depend of their position so that the second unit becomes electrically connected to the first unit only when the pins are placed in a predetermined relationship to each other. The relationship corresponds to the shape of the contact surface of the second unit to the first unit, so that the second unit works as a key for establishing the electrical connection. The connector does not require precision when the two units are connected to each other.
