Abstract
A power producing system (1) has a heat engine (4); a generator (3) operatively coupled to the heat engine; and a control unit (9) operatively coupled to the generator, to a first load (8), and to a second load (9). Furthermore, the control unit (9) is adapted to continuously transfer power from the generator (3) to the first load (8) during normal operation of the system (1) and to determine a change in output power required by the second load (7), wherein the control unit (9) will reduce the power transferred to the first load if the output power required by the second load is increased, or increase the power transferred to the first load if the output power required by the second load is decreased.
