Abstract

The saddle tree has two side pieces secured to a curved front arch specially shaped to be placed over the back of a riding animal (5). Each side piece comprises a pair of overlapping rigid leather pieces which have been secured together to form a laminate containing elongated elastic reinforcing parts. These reinforcing parts are spaced apart and extend parallel to each other in a direction essentially at right angles to the front arch, from a front part of the side piece to a back part of the side piece, over essentially the entire length of the side piece.
