Abstract
The device (1) comprises a catheter-shaped sensor part (2) connected to a holder. The sensor part includes a sealed cavity bordered by a membrane in the holder, which is completely or partially filled with a liquid. The sensor part comprises a rigid inner cone (20) and outer flexible tube (21), between which is a space (24) forming part of the cavity. A sensor is used to detect the position of the membrane. Mechanical pressure applied to the tube as a result of e.g. muscles reducing the cross-section of the body cavity will increase the pressure inside the cavity in the sensor device, causing the membrane to move towards the sensor. As the pressure is reduced, the membrane will move away from the sensor.
