Abstract
The invention refers to a device, a method and a probe for acoustically detect leakages in a tube, preferably in and around heat exchanger tube attachments (21) in the tube plate (20) belonging to a pressure water reactor steam generator. The device has two expandable plugs (1, 2) arranged in each end of an intermediate distance piece (8), which is arranged in the pipe (21) an in between define a space (7) which is pressurized by at least one of the plugs (1) comprises an inlet for a pressure pipe (3) for pressurizing gas or fluid, an acoustic sensor (6), arranged in the space (7), a computer (9), which receives a signal from the acoustic sensor (6) and process it, and a device displaying the test result, leakage or not.
