Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, capable of recovering a capacity of an alkaline storage battery where the capacity is decreased based on conductivity decrease of a positive electrode. SOLUTION: In the method for recovering a battery capacity, a capacity of the positive electrode, which is decreased by deterioration of a conductive agent, is recovered. The method comprises a process of immersing the positive electrode, of which a capacity is decreased into a cobalt sulfate aqueous solution, and a process of charging the positive electrode after the immersing in an alkaline electrolytic solution for forming cobalt oxy hydroxide, having conductivity between grains of a positive electrode active material.
