Abstract

The adjustment part (15) for the cutting plate (14) comprises a wedge releasably secured to the cutting head. A screw oriented substantially in the cutting head length direction is used to fix the wedge into position. The cutting plate has a regular polygonal shape with opposing parallel sides, one of which can be engaged with one side of the wedge, and another can be brought into contact with a side support surface in the cutting position, this surface being oriented substantially at right angles to the cutting head central axis. The tool has a cutting plate with one or more blades fixed into position by a screw received by a centrally located hole in the blade.
