Abstract
In a process for treatment of a liquid with a reactive gas, a dispersion of micro bubbles is produced by either subjecting a pre-mixture of the gas and liquid to further dynamic mixing, or adding the gas to the liquid in a dynamic mixer. An independent claim is also included for a device for treating a liquid with a reactive gas. Preferred Features: The active gas may be in admixture with a carrier gas e.g. ozone in oxygen or air. The process may performed under a pressure of about 3-15 barg, and the gas may contain 1-35% w/w of ozone. The micro bubbles are essentially smaller than 500 micron, and preferably 50-300 micron. The use of a Deculator type free-gas disengagement unit is preferred.
