Способ нанесения несмываемой линии на алмазе, включающий нанесение на поверхность кристалла линии, содержащей ионы или атомы металла, растворяющего углерод алмаза, и последующую термообработку при 600 - 1600oC в среде газа, реагирующего с растворенным в металле углеродом, но не реагирующего с углеродом алмаза, отличающийся тем, что сохранение качества алмаза достигают нагревом его с 400oC до температуры обработки и охлаждением до 400oС со скоростью 10 - 20oС/мин.1.
