Способ получения порошка на основе нитрида алюминия, включающий одностадийное азотирование шихты, содержащей соединения алюминия и углерода, в токе азота с последующим удалением остаточного углерода прокаливанием на воздухе при повышенных температурах, отличающийся тем, что в качестве соединения алюминия используют прокаленные на воздухе при 650 - 900oC отходы шлифования спеченных изделий на основе нитрида алюминия, представляющие собой соединения алюминия с активирующими спекание добавками: AlN ≈ 1 - 15 мас.%, Y2O3 и др. ≈ 0,5 - 5,0 мас.%, остальное γ - Al2O3, которые смешивают с углеродом в соотношении 70 - 75 мас.% и 30 - 25 мас.% соответственно, шихту измельчают до дисперсности с преобладающим размером частиц менее 1 мкм и азотируют при 1650 - 1750oC.1.
