Abstract
FIELD: wettability determining methods and apparatus. SUBSTANCE: method implies measuring of specific sedimentation volume of sediment in liquids of various polarity. Fibrous material is preliminarily condensed under pressure of 0.03-0.5 MPa up to permanent volume and then liquid of various polarity is poured onto material. Period for determining wettability is about 40-60 minutes. EFFECT: high efficiency.
Claims (1)
A method for determining the wettability of fibrous materials, which consists in measuring the specific sedimentation volume of sediment in liquids of different polarity, characterized in that the fibrous material is pre-compacted under pressure of 0.03-0.05 MPa to a constant volume, and then filled with a liquid of different polarity. Moreover, the wettability determination time is 40-60 minutes.
