Abstract
FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves purification of 1,1-difluoroethane against impurities of vinyl chloride. Said purification comprises treatment of 1,1-difluoroethane by fluorinated agent which takes place by bringing said gaseous fluorinated agent into contact with liquid phase being prepared directly by 1,1-difluoroethane or by solution of 1,1-difluroethane in solvent which is inert in respect with fluorine. Molar ratio of fluorine being fed and vinyl chloride is 1.2-5. Halogenated carbon which does not contain hydrogen (e. g. 1,1,2-trifluorotrichloroethane), perfluorodecaline, perfluoromethyl cyclohexane, perflurodimethyl cyclohexane are used as mentioned above solvent. Said treatment may be carried out in reactor of column type. Desired product may be affected by additional purification with the help of synthetic zeolite, said purification takes place in gaseous phase at expense 20-50 l/h per 1 l of adsorbent.
