Abstract

FIELD: coatings. SUBSTANCE: invention is dealing with applying superhard-material coatings and can be used to increase wear resistance of process equipment parts. As coating material, boron is chosen, which is applied using spark technique. Crystalline boron is preliminarily heated to metallic conductance temperature and process is further performed by a common way. EFFECT: achieved coating strength up to 40 GPa.
