Abstract

FIELD: hydraulic engineering; applicable in construction of sheet-pile walls of different applications. SUBSTANCE: sheet-pile wall consists of piles to which longitudinal grooved-and-tongued joints are attached and connecting members are installed between piles. Connecting members are tubular in cross-section with longitudinal tongues engageable with pile grooves. Grooved-and-tongued joints are made of two angles with longitudinal stiffening rib installed between them. Stiffening rib is welded with their side edges to joint walls. Stiffening rib may be made of separate flat members installed at intervals in same vertical plane. EFFECT: higher load-carrying capacity of sheet-pile wall due to higher rigidly of grooved-and-tongued joints and connecting members, and as a result, reduced specific consumption of materials and improved adaptability of wall members for their manufacture and installation.
