Abstract

FIELD: metallurgy, particular, production of high-strength, economically alloyed steel. SUBSTANCE: complex alloying with chromium, manganese, vanadium, niobium and nitrogen of steel with carbon content of 0.08-0.12% and observation of the preset ratio of content of carbon and vanadium, and the preset total content of niobium and vanadium provide for arch hardening of blanks with cooling from rolling heating without development of stress cracks and with ultimate strength of 100-800 MPa. EFFECT: high efficiency, due to steel high strength in blanks hardened by cooling in the air from rolling temperature with no development of stress cracks, no use of expensive alloying elements.

Claims (1)

The field of technology is metallurgical production, in particular the production of high-strength economically alloyed steel. Technical appraisal and economic result: steel provides high strength in billets, heat-strengthened by cooling in air from rolling heating temperatures without the formation of stress cracks; the steel contains no expensive alloying elements: molybdenum, nickel. The essence of the proposed composition is that the complex alloying of chromium, manganese, vanadium, niobium and nitrogen with a carbon content of 0.08 - 0.12%, subject to a given ratio of carbon and vanadium and a given total content of niobium and vanadium, provides quenching in air workpieces during cooling with rolling heating without the formation of stress cracks while ensuring a tensile strength σ in = 1000 - 800 MPa.
