Abstract

FIELD: purification of gases. SUBSTANCE: aim of invention is to enhance cleaning efficiency and simultaneous ozone production and catalytic oxidation due to catalyst functioning as dielectric stuff of ozonator. Invention is distinguished with that, when cleaning off- gases through entering ozone separately under each part of filler bed and catalytically oxidizing off-gases, ozone is generated in catalyst under high voltage and frequency and the same ozone in presence of catalyst oxidizes off-gases. Arrangement is composed of n different parts filled with a filler and catalyst and is made in blocks with through apertures wherein electrodes are installed, and, over the first catalyst bed, there is a disc with blades and electrodes linked to electric motor. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 2 cl, 3 dwg

The invention relates to the purification of gases from impurities by the ozone-catalytic method and can be used in chemical, engineering and other industries. The objective of the invention is to increase the cleaning efficiency and the combination of the production of ozone and catalytic oxidation due to the fact that the catalyst acts as a dielectric element of the ozonizer. The inventive method for purification of exhaust gases, ozone is supplied separately for each part of the filler layer and the exhaust gases are oxidized by the catalyst, while ozone is produced in the catalyst at high voltage and high frequency, and ozone in the presence of a catalyst oxidizes gases. A device implementing the method is proposed, consisting of n different parts filled with a filler. The catalyst is made block with through holes in which the electrodes are installed; above the first catalyst layer there is a disk with blades and electrodes connected to an electric motor.
