Abstract

FIELD: filtering arrangements. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to arrangements for decanting and filtering electrolytes and may be used in various areas, including those dealing with aggressive, explosive, and inflammable liquids. The purpose is to simplify design, reduce its cost, and raise reliability of operation. Apparatus has: vacuum filter 1 consisting of upper chamber 2 and lower chamber for filtrate 3 separated with a net barrier 4 with filtering members 5; pipeline 16 for feeding liquid into upper chamber where float valve 17 is installed; compressed air line 13; adjusting valves 19; upright pipeline 8 in the form of cylindrical column, which is connected in its upper part through pipeline 9 with passive nozzle of ejector 11 and drain fitting 15 of vacuum filter 1, the lower part of column being inserted in opened tank 6 filled with filtered out liquid 7. Height of upright pipeline is determined by aspirating effort of ejector and density of a liquid being decanted. EFFECT: improved design.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to devices for automatic overflow and filtration of electrolytes and can be used in various fields of the national economy, including in industries associated with the use of aggressive, explosive and fire hazardous liquids. The purpose of the invention is to simplify the design, reduce its cost and increase the reliability of the device. The device comprises a vacuum filter 1, consisting of an upper chamber 2 and a filtrate chamber 3, separated by a mesh partition 4 with filter elements 5, a pipe 16 for supplying liquid to the upper chamber 2, in which a float valve 17, a compressed air line 13, control valves 19, vertical pipe 8, made in the form of a cylindrical column connected in its upper part through a pipe 9 with a passive 10 nozzle of the ejector 11 and with a drain pipe 15 of the vacuum filter 1, and the lower part installed in an open e capacity 6, filled with filtered liquid 7. The height of the vertical pipe is determined by the suction force of the ejector and the density of the overflow fluid.
