Abstract

FIELD: laser technology of formation of three- or two-dimensional pictures inside transparent polymer material; applicable in article marking and manufacture of decorative articles and souvenirs. SUBSTANCE: picture inside transparent carbonizable polymer with absorption coefficient less than 20 cm cmis formed from dark point regions obtained by focusing radiation beam in preset points. Parameters of radiation beam used for the purpose is controlled so that energy density of radiation beam exceeds than of required for carbonization of material, and beam intensity is less than the intensity required for material ionization. Disturbed continuity of material in article is not observed. Varying intensity of coloring, size and location in space of dark point regions forming picture results in producing of three- or two-dimensional picture consisting of large number of tints. EFFECT: higher efficiency.

The invention relates to a laser technology for creating three-dimensional or flat images inside a transparent polymer material used in the labeling of products, the manufacture of decorative products and souvenirs. An image inside a transparent carbonizable polymer having an absorption index of less than 20 cm −1 is formed from dark dotted regions formed when the radiation beam is focused at predetermined points. The parameters of the used radiation beam are controlled so that the energy density of the radiation beam exceeds the energy density necessary for carbonization of the material, and the intensity of the beam is less than the intensity required for ionization of the material. In the product containing the formed image, there is no violation of the continuity of the material. By varying the staining intensity, size and spatial arrangement of the dark dot regions forming the image, three-dimensional or flat images are obtained consisting of a large number of tones.
