Abstract

FIELD: individual self-defense aids. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to small arms testing. During certification strength testing of such self-defense weapons there are used for shooting testing cartridges with maximum pressure of powder gases which exceeds maximum pressure of blank cartridges by 30-40%. In this case measurement of maximum pressure of gasses is performed in several points of each socket of drum and over entire length of bore. During approval testing of each revolver strength instead of shooting with testing cartridges is tested by loading of each socket of drum and bore by hydraulic pressure equal in value to maximum pressure of powder gases measured in shooting with testing cartridges. Loading is performed by feed of liquid into capped sockets of drum and bore. After loading condition of material of drum and bore is checked. EFFECT: reduced testing time of gas revolvers, decreased cost of testing, improved safety.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to tests of small arms, in particular to tests of gas revolvers. The aim of this invention is to reduce the test time of gas revolvers, their significant cost reduction while ensuring safety. This goal is achieved by the fact that during certification tests of the weapon model for strength during shooting, test cartridges are used with a maximum pressure of powder gases, which exceeds the maximum pressure of powder gases of empty cartridges by 30 - 40%. In this case, the maximum gas pressure is measured at several points of each drum socket and along the entire length of the barrel channel. In the acceptance tests of each instance of the revolver, the strength test is carried out instead of being shot by test cartridges by loading each drum seat and barrel bore with hydraulic pressure equal to the maximum pressure of the powder gases measured during the firing of test cartridges of the weapon model. Loading is carried out by supplying fluid to the plugged jacks of the drum and the barrel channel. After loading, the condition of the material of the drum and the barrel is monitored. This test method reduces the test time of gas revolvers, reduce their cost and ensure safety.
