Цель изобретения - повышение энергии удара пневмамического устройства ударного действия. Эта цель достигается путем увеличения среднего давления в рабочих камерах по пути ударника. Для повышения среднего давления по пути устройство снабжается средством управления давления в камере холостого хода. Это средство соединяет камеру холостого хода ударника с атмосферой при его движении в направлении удара или с магистралью сжатого воздуха на большей части холостого хода. В результате перед ударом в камере холостого хода не создается воздушная подушка, снижающая скорость ударника, а при холостом ходе увеличивается его заброс.
