Abstract
FIELD: aircraft fireproofing. SUBSTANCE: method involves setting predetermined ratio between flow rate in dynamic boundary layer adjacent to combustible material surface and maximum allowable flow rate beyond which combustible material may ignite, with allowable flow rate being set for weightlessness conditions; providing fire suppression conditions by reducing ventilation flow rate to value allowable to prevent ignition of material under weightlessness condition. EFFECT: simplified method by eliminating usage of fire-extinguishing equipment, reduced cost and enhanced reliability of fireproofing method.
