Способ диагностики пропусков воспламенения в цилиндрах двигателя внутреннего сгорания (ДВС), состоящий в регистрации электрического сигнала в высоковольтной цепи системы зажигания, отличающийся тем, что на свечу диагностируемого цилиндра на такте расширения подают диагностические импульсы (в виде серии из одного или нескольких импульсов) с величиной напряжения, обеспечивающей пробой между электродами свечи в случае предшествующего невоспламенения в цилиндре или отсутствие пробоя в случае предшествующего воспламенения, при этом регистрируют наличие или отсутствие электрического сигнала в высоковольтной цепи свечи зажигания и по его наличию делают вывод о пропуске воспламенения в данном цилиндре.1.
