Lack of the step contributes to elimination of additional dynamic forces in the area of rail joint that result in reducing service life of rail way tracks and rolling stock. Insertion piece is made apart from the rails that allows one to eliminate specific technological difficulties related to long articles, as well as increase possibilities in improving local metal quality in the area of rail joint. Claims (1)

Конструкция вставки с консольно-опорным перекрытием зазора рельсового стыка предназначена для качественного перекрытия зазора стыкуемых рельсов и может найти применение при строительстве и ремонте рельсового пути городского и железнодорожного транспорта. Качественное перекрытие зазора обеспечивается устранением взаимного смещения по высоте поверхностей катания головок вставки, а следовательно, и устранением ступеньки благодаря устройству опорной площадки в ячейке головки одной из полувставок, на которую опирается консоль головки другой полувставки при своем опускании под давлением колес приближающегося транспорта. Отсутствие ступеньки устраняет появление в зоне стыка дополнительных динамических сил, ведущих к сокращению срока службы рельсовых путей и подвижного транспорта. Конструкция вставки выполнена отдельно от рельсов, что позволяет устранить определенные технологические трудности, связанные с длинномерными изделиями, а также расширяет возможности повышения качества металла локально в зоне стыка с минимальными затратами.
