Abstract

FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: device is a corneal-scleral lens in a holder. The lens has a centering point and recesses in each of four sectors of 90 deg varying in direction and size. The recesses are intended as guidelines for marking and incising the cornea. The holder has a handle and a graduated (360-0 deg) annular part with protuberances for fixation on its lower surface directed towards the eyeball. The annular part of the holder holds down a contact lens inserted in the holder. The corneal-scleral lens is mounted for rotation. The contact lens may be fabricated from transparent of non-transparent material. If the lens in not transparent, it must have a hole in the center. The quadrant and shape of the incisions depend on localization and direction of the post-trauma cicatrix of the cornea. EFFECT: enhanced operating capability.

Claims (1)

Usage: medicine, ophthalmology, is intended for the correction of post-traumatic cicatricial astigmatism of the cornea. The inventive device for marking and applying incisions of the cornea is characterized in that, given the individual characteristics of the topography of the scarred cornea, it is possible to conduct atypical marking. The proposed device is a corneal scleral lens in the holder, having a centering point and in each of the 4 sectors (90 o ) cuts of different directions and sizes for marking or incisions of the cornea as guides. The holder consists of a pen and an annular graduated part (360 - 0 o ), on the lower surface of which there are protrusions directed 90 o to the eyeball to fix it. The holder presses the contact lens inserted into it with its annular part. The corneoscleral lens can rotate. The material from which the contact lens is made may be transparent or opaque. In the latter case, a hole must be made in the central zone to center it. The quadrant of the intervention and the shape of the incisions is determined depending on the location and direction of the post-traumatic corneal scar.
